Dr. Asima Khan is an Environmental Data Scientist at the Department of Geography, Geology and Environment, Institute of Environmental Futures, University of Leicester. Her past work focused on GIS-based Habitat Quality Modelling and Machine Learning models for remote biomass estimation. She is currently part of the team working on the UKRI funded AI for Net Zero project "Self-Learning Digital Twins for Sustainable Land Management", working on Remote Sensing-based modelling of GHG emissions from lowland agricultural peatlands in the UK.
