Dr Sara Ghoreishi is lecturer in Bioelectronics at University College London (UCL). Prior to this, she was a postdoctoral Research Fellow at Imperial College London (2015-2018), following a PhD (2015) from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL).
Dr Ghoreishi leads an interdisciplinary research team, focussed on analogue/mixed-signal Integrated Circuit (IC) design and CMOS biosensors for healthcare applications. These include development of new wearable technologies for real-time quantitative analysis of health conditions, such as physiological stress, and oral health. Her research has been supported by EPSRC and Wellcome Trust; and has so far led to over 50 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr Ghoreishi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a senior member of IEEE. She has been on the organising committees of several IEEE conferences (UKCAS 2018-2022, Biosensors 2023, BioCAS 2021-2023, ICECS 2019-2022, ISCAS 2018-2022) in various capacities (Chair, Technical co-chair, Technical programme committee, Review committee). She is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBioCAS), and IEEE Sensors, and a member of the IEEE BioCAS technical committee. She was elected to the IEEE CAS Board of Governors (BoG) for the period of 2020-2022.
