Srinjoy Mitra
Srinjoy Mitra is a Reader at the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh. His early education is from India and, after spending some time in the electronics industry in Japan, he received his PhD from ETH, Zurich, in 2008. He then joined Johns Hopkins University, USA, as a post-doc and later worked at IMEC, Belgium as a senior scientist. He returned to academia as a Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and moved to the University of Edinburgh in 2017. His research interests include electronic sensor interfaces, primarily for medical electronics and neurotechnology. Apart from his technological work, he has a keen interest in the techno-social aspects of ICT. His current works include techno-solutionism and the neocolonial impacts of technological innovation.
